well.. last week was GDC (Game Developers Conference) -- in San Jose, CA.. since it's only a 20 mile trip for me, i went down for a few days to attend classes, walk the showroom floor and meet up with some ex-colleagues from past game jobs..

i also had a chance to view the CG Society art gallery -- they had poster size prints of arttst's such as Linda Bergkvist, Steven Stahlberg and others.. the prints were very nicely done and they were well received by the attendees of the show.

Hello!

This is my initial post to my blog! in the next few days, i'll add more info on myself and what i'm up to lately!

briefly: i am a full-time CG artist, currently working in video games.. (my past ventures have been the film industry, commercials, music videos, car design, broadcast graphics and freelance)

i love my 'day job' -- but my passion really is with my personal art (ie. fine art) and i'm currently working on getting art ready for a gallery show in SF involving my current series, 'Live life/Not death"

it is my passion for creating art that keeps me going! (and i often grow frustrated in not having enough time to work on my own personal art) -- there aren't enough hours in the day!!

anyway.. i'll update this blog often (talking about working in the film industry vs games, etc)

so.. check back soon!
