This was a high level concept that i worked on for a next-gen video game-- i was responsible for the lighting of this shot.

(no global illumination was used -- lighting was done by hand placing key, fill, bounce lights, etc) and rendered using Maya scanline rendering)

This is a matte painting (of sorts) that i did for Figtree Entertainment.. it will be used on prints ads, letterhead, and most visibly in front of their films..
the original was done at 4k resolution (for film) and it was done using Maya, Painter 10 and Photoshop..
time to complete was 3 days, total..

This is a piece that i just finished recently.. it's titled: "Serenity"
i was done using Maya, After Effects, Photoshop and Deep Paint 3D and it was done in about a month (working at night on it-- as a personal sort of 'therapy project!')
lately, my 'day job' has me working on a lot of interior architecture (hard edged objects, corridors, confined spaces, etc) and i wanted to something 'organic' and open..
i grew up on a farm in Ohio-- and this piece was a result of those memories.
